The LaRay Method™ (Signature Service)
Where insight and subconscious work come together to create lasting change.
Is This For You?
Many of our clients come to us after years of therapy. They know the coping skills. They understand their patterns intellectually. They've done the work — and they're still stuck.
That's often a sign that insight alone hasn't been enough. If you've ever noticed yourself reacting the same way even when you know better — shutting down, avoiding, spiraling — that's your subconscious running an old plan. One it learned a long time ago, to keep you safe. The LaRay Method™ works directly with that part of you, so the shift isn't just something you understand — it's something that actually changes.
How It Works
The LaRay Method™ moves through three phases — building the foundation with psychotherapy, adding hypnotherapy for the deeper work, and tapering back to psychotherapy as your new patterns take hold.
Getting Started
We begin with a thorough intake — your history, current stressors, and what's really going on for you. From there, we build a personalized plan. If you're someone who's "tried everything" and is ready to go deeper than talk alone, we'll talk about how hypnotherapy can work alongside your therapy.
Building the Foundation (Weeks 1–2)
We start with weekly psychotherapy alone — getting to know your history, your goals, and the patterns you want to shift. This is where we build the trust and clarity that hypnotherapy will later work from.
The Combined Work (Weeks 3–8)
This is the core of the process: two sessions each week, one psychotherapy and one hypnotherapy, working together. Your psychotherapy session is where we talk, process, and plan — identifying the behaviors and patterns you're working on, and preparing what we'll focus on next. Your hypnotherapy session is where that work happens at the subconscious level.
Early on, hypnosis sessions are gentle — a light trance while you learn what the process actually feels like. Contrary to what people expect, hypnosis isn't sleep or losing control. It's closer to being absorbed in a good movie: deeply relaxed, fully present, and focused. Each session, your body learns the routine and relaxes more easily.
As the weeks progress, many clients start noticing shifts between sessions — more energy, a more positive mood, less anxiety, doing things they wouldn't normally do. This is the subconscious work beginning to surface into everyday life, while your psychotherapy sessions help you make sense of it and apply it.
When it's the right fit, we may also work with guided regression during hypnotherapy — gently returning to the point where a pattern first took root, often in childhood. This isn't about reliving pain; it's about understanding where a response began and rewriting it with the clarity and resources you have now. Because you remain both consciously present and deeply relaxed throughout, this work reaches the pattern at its source. We adapt the depth and approach based on your comfort level, so this work always meets you where you are.
Integration & Maintenance (Week 9+)
As your new patterns take hold, we taper back to weekly psychotherapy alone. This is where change becomes visible day to day — setting boundaries, catching yourself before things escalate, using coping skills naturally instead of forcing them. Thoughts, emotions, and behavior are deeply connected, so as one shifts, the others follow. Timelines vary by client — some move faster, some need more time — and we go at the pace that's right for you.
What Makes This Different
Most therapy works with the conscious mind — the part of you that understands a problem intellectually. The LaRay Method™ pairs that work with weekly hypnotherapy, engaging the subconscious — the part of you actually running the pattern. By working with both, in tandem, every week, change isn't just something you know. It's something you experience and sustain.
